**NEW for 2012** Brawler Bash Build-a-Bridge InitiativeWe have some seriously sweet water and river terrain to put out this year. I am going to be liberal with the water so bring a snorkel or get to building a bridge. I was going to roll this out next year, but what the hay! There might even be a prize for the best bridge. If you model up a bridge (so painted and everything) or bring a suitable terrain piece (borrowed or bought), then you can place the bridge on any table that you are playing on, with a water feature. A bridge that matches your army is even mas coolio. Here are the specifics though: -The bridge can be no wider than 7- 25mm models (so wide enough that a rank of 7 orcs can cross is ok-no wider). -It must be placed BEFORE table sides are known and before any deployment of any type. If both players have a "pocket bridge" to place then roll off (or play paper/rock/scissors, have breakdance contest, armwrestle... just solve it ) to see who goes first. -The bridge has to be able to reasonably span the water feature (no bridges going out to the middle of a lake for example) -The bridge goes with you, when your game is up, the bridge comes up too. -Erik

Hi Erik, do you know approximately how wide most of the rivers are? This would be a big help in figuring out how long to make our bridges. Thanks!

I think 4 feet long would be about right.

I'd say 5-6" is the normal width for common river sections. Longer bridges are always fine though. I don't want folks to be terrified of water world tables. It isn't going to be like that. There won't be water on every table. The build-a-bridge initiative is a little "tongue in cheek", but I think it is a fun little side event. Erik
