Howdy Folks,
I wanted to make you aware of a "Club" award at the Bash this year so you can plan your alliances Teams/clubs will consist of at least 2 people (but you will need 3 to have a decent shot). The highest finishing 3 members will count towards the award. The scoring is simple- reverse scoring. So if there are 50 players then the #1 overall will score 50 points, #2=49 points, etc.... In the case of a tie combined sports score will be the tie breaker. Get your teams together people! The first round matchups will also take teams into account (you won't play people on your team for sure the first round). After that, it is open season.
**Also, one little tidbit. If you bring a special character you will likely play another army with a special character on the first round(after that it will be random)** It seems fun and fair!
I am also forwarding a message about the Southern Overlord Award from Jerry Parsley of the Kobra Kai WFB club. The Brawler Bash is proud to be a part of the competition!
Everyone,
I would like to introduce everyone to the very first "Southern Overlord" championship.
The Southern Overlord, is the brain child of a couple TO's in the Carolinas and Virginia. The TO's involved were Erik Lindley of Brawler Bash, Dan Rothrock and Jerry P of Southern Assault, and Steve Holley of the Scarab Con.
The aim is to develop a stronger warhammer community in the historically lacking Southeast states. To do that we decided to tie all our GT's into 1, in regards to having a all conquering Southern Overlord!
Well the Calandar schedule helps us in many ways, providing our GT's just 3-6 months apart.
But since we have to start somewhere, the first Southern Overlord will be determined by these 3 tournys.
Southern Assault 1 / Oct 2011
Brawler Bash V / Apl 2012
Southern Assault 2 / Oct 2012
So yes, your scores from the last GT in 2011 will count toward the 2012 Overlord.
In the upcoming years (Southern Overlord 2013)
Will be regulary scheduled between
Scarab Con 3 / Jan 2013 (Columbia SC)
Brawler Bash VI / Apr 2013 ( Raleigh NC)
Southern Assault 3 / Oct 2013 (Charlotte NC)
Well the Prize for the Overlord is quite simple, The winner of the OverLord gets Free entry for the next calander year at all GT's to protect his title, not to mention bragging rights (and possibly a small prize)
This way we hope to cross contaminate the warhammer fever and create a stronger warhammer scene (Plus, it's Free!!!!)
Are you guys up for the challenge?
