Hi Guys,
Do you have an idea as to what type of Comp System you will be running this year? I'm trying to practice and build my list, but I am uncertain as to how some Orc and Goblin stuff will be judged.
Is two Mangler Squigs considered bad?
Is an Arachnarok Spider something to be dinged or a concession (as most OnG call it a concession, but I can see some thinking it a tough monster)?
Thanks!

Hey guys, kind of riffing off of Jim's question, do we know how many points the Bash will be? I'm working to get my 2.5k army up to snuff. If it's going to be any more than that, I'll have to ramp up my schedule. I'm sure the details are taking a long time to hammer out, but would it be possible to provide a couple of guidlines so folks can start preparing? Thanks!

I've heard that 3k, with no grand armies allowed, is possible.
I hope it is cause that sounds fun, especially with no grand armies.
Like you, I've been working on trying to get my army up to snuff. So I've been planning on 3k just in case.

It will be 3k (no grand army). There will be no comp- Special characters are allowed.
Painting will be worth around 10% of your total score so if you are not fully painted then it isn't the end of the world.
The rulespack will be posted this week for sure. I wanted to get it up earlier, but it just didn't work out that way.

No comp as in no composition score at all? Or no comp as in nothing is banned?

Nothing is banned and there is no "score." I suppose it could impact your favorite opponent votes, but no direct comp score. The 3k points limit has a "self-righting" quality imo. People already bring the best stuff at 2.5k (if they were so inclined.) Adding an additional 500 points is somewhat like ablative armor to the filth We shall see what happens! -Erik

Yeah, I agree that the no grand armies helps make the 3k points more "self-right". But all special characters are not created equal. It would be nice if at least people with special characters could be playing each other early on, even if there's no comp involved.
But really, as long as there's not mysterious rivers across each table like last year, then I will be happy. A non-mysterious river here and there is fine, but really last year, nearly every table had a river running through it and making them mysterious meant that I spent half of each game rolling dice to cross it.
