Guilt and Painting

Hi everyone,

I have recently got my dwarfs to a state where I think they are fun to play, and competative (something I couldn't quite get going last edition).

Unfortunately they are a big wall of gray/metal at the moment, thus I feel pretty bad about bringing them out, especially since I'm pretty sure they will be classified as "hard".

Anyways, from what I understand last year was painted only, this year it is "strongly preferred", so I just wanted to see how people feel about an unpainted, "tough" army at the brawler bash. I'm having a very tough time deciding if I should go and I am hoping to get a feel for what the sentiment is out there.

I just don't want to have 5 games where people hate me =(

Any thoughts/feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think it's ever been painted only.

It's painted only are able to win the big prizes. Otherwise painted or not doesn't matter. From what I saw of your army list on sci-fi genre's forums, it looked more medium to medium-hard than hard-hard.

You can always ask Erik or one of the organizers how they would feel about your army and what you can do to nerf it a bit if they feel it is too hard.

Like Shimmer said, we don't absolutely require painted armies, but I think you should try to maybe borrow some painted models. There are lots of folks out there with painted armies.

Any painted is better than nothing. I have some dwarves that you can borrow that are painted. Not a whole army worth, but maybe with someone else we can set you up.

I'd really like to get you some painted dwarves to play with. Ask around, I KNOW there are some painted dwarf armies around :>

If you come up short then you just come up short. At least try to have stuff primed?
